N.Y. Times: Approximately One in 15 Chester Countians Have Been Infected by COVID-19

The number of cases has continued to increase over the last two weeks, keeping Chester County at a very high risk level for the coronavirus, according to The New York Times.

The number of hospitalized patients has also increased while COVID-19-related deaths have remained roughly the same compared to two weeks ago. The test positivity rate is high once again.

In the past two weeks, an average of 167 cases per day was reported in the county, which is a 67 percent increase. Since the start of the outbreak, approximately one in 15 residents have been infected.

Meanwhile, the average number of hospitalized patients between March 26 and April 1 was 324.

December remains the month with the highest number of reported cases in Chester County.

The rate of cases in Chester County is in line with those in neighboring counties, most of which are also at a very high level of risk.
