Hope for Hospitality Campaign ‘a Win-Win’ for Local Restaurants, Loyal Patrons

By

The Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA) is working hard to protect the state’s hospitality and tourism industries, which have been harshly impacted by the pandemic.

To encourage residents of southeastern Pennsylvania to eat local in these winter months, the PRLA is joining forces with Neff and Today Media/Main Line Today to launch the Hope for Hospitality program.

This unique initiative – in partnership with Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks counties – will help support local restaurants and reward loyal restaurant patrons. The campaign runs until March 31.

When purchasing a meal from a restaurant in the four-county region (dine-in, takeout, or delivery), restaurant patrons will have the opportunity to win a $25 American Express gift card by sharing their experience on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter. To qualify for a weekly drawing, participating posts must tag the restaurant and include the #hopeforhospitalitypa hashtag.

“Hope for Hospitality was created to provide much-needed assistance to the restaurants we know and love within our community,” said Ben Fileccia, PRLA’s Director of Operations & Strategy. “It’s a win-win for both loyal patrons and restauranteurs. Now more than ever, it’s time to support one another as we push through these challenging times.”

The restaurant industry is also currently working to generate awareness around the Hospitality Assistance Response of Pennsylvania (HARP), an organization that provides immediate emergency funding to hospitality workers and distribute grants to front-line industry employees experiencing significant hardships due to the abrupt restaurant and hospitality closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In support of HARP’s launch, Neff – an award-winning, full-service marketing firm based in Philadelphia – recently partnered with PRLA to create a modern logo reflective of the organization’s mission and a website where users can effectively seek assistance and donate money.

The situation is dire for the hospitality community in Pennsylvania and across the nation. Donations – no matter the amount – offer support, hope, and peace of mind. Click here to make a donation.
