Although the number of COVID-19 cases continued to decrease over the last two weeks, Chester County remains at a very high risk level for the coronavirus, according to The New York Times.

The number of hospitalized patients has fallen compared to two weeks ago, while the number of COVID-19-related deaths has remained about the same. The test positivity rate still remains high, suggesting that the number of cases may have been undercounted.

In the past two weeks, an average of 123 cases per day was reported in the county, which is a 32 percent decrease from two weeks ago. Since the start of the outbreak, approximately one in 18 residents have been infected.

December remains the month with the highest number of reported cases.

Meanwhile, the average ICU occupancy was at 70 percent as of Feb. 11, continuing to fall from two weeks prior but rising slightly compared to last week.
