The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized Chester County Hospital with its HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence for its demonstrated commitment to comprehensive, high-quality culture and cardiovascular care.

Hospitals receiving this designation have demonstrated their commitment to consistent, high-quality cardiovascular care through comprehensive process improvement, disease and procedure-specific accreditation, professional excellence, and community engagement.

Chester County Hospital has received the designation three years in a row and was one of only 13 hospitals to be honored with the HeartCARE Center Pioneer Award in 2019.

With this new designation, hospitals and health systems can now showcase their elite status and publicly highlight their outstanding commitment to quality for their patients, providers, and other stakeholders.

“Chester County Hospital has demonstrated its commitment to providing Chester County with excellent heart care,” said Dr. Phillip D. Levy, Chair of the ACC Accreditation Management Board. “ACC Accreditation Services is proud to award Chester County Hospital with the HeartCare Center designation.”

“Receiving the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence from the American College of Cardiology is a demonstration of the continuous hard work, dedication, and high-quality care that our team showcases to our cardiovascular patients at Chester County Hospital,” said Dr. Timothy J. Boyek, Medical Director of Cardiac Diagnostic Interventional Catheterization Laboratories at Chester County Hospital. “This recognition personifies our never-ending efforts to optimize the care and outcomes of patients.”
