Update – These Chester County ZIP Codes Had Biggest Increases in COVID-19 Cases in the Last Seven Days; Check Out the Numbers in Your Area

Cases of COVID-19 continue to quickly increase across the nation, with some areas in Chester County affected more than others, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The latest numbers compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health show the rates of infection in each ZIP Code for the seven days ending Dec. 9, compared to the rates for the seven days prior.

The highest percentage increase in Chester County during that period was recorded in Atglen’s ZIP Code (19310). The number of confirmed cases there grew from 58 to 77, or 33 percent.

ZIP Code 19365 (Parkesburg/Sadsburyville) recorded a rise of 24 percent, with cases increasing from 140 to 174.

In ZIP Code 19520 (Elverson), the number of cases jumped from 77 to 93, or 21 percent. The same percentage but a higher number of individual cases were recorded in ZIP Code 19330 (Cochranville), where cases increased from 126 to 153.

Finally, ZIP Code 19317 (Chadds Ford) saw an increase of 18 percent, with the number of confirmed cases rising from 173 to 204.
