Millions of Girl Scout Cookies have been delivered to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania Valley Forge Service Center in Chester County, writes Kim Hudson and Scott Hezlep for CBS News Philadelphia.
Cookie sales help the Girl Scouts raise money for educational trips and various events.
“It’s taught them how to deal with people,” said Lynn Orr, a Girl Scout troop leader from Valley Forge. “It’s taught them how to sell. My girls are amazing. My girls are going to be leaders. All of them, I have no doubt in my mind.”
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania will begin selling cookies on Jan. 16. The 2025 cookie season will run until March 10. In the next two weeks before sales start, Girl Scouts will be delivering over 2.1 million packages to local troops.
Some popular cookies you can expect to see this year are Adventurefuls, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, and Peanut Butter Sandwich.
