This is usually because of Delaware County cases that are incorrectly assigned to Chester County, which the Chester County Health Department corrects prior to reporting. In the last 24 hours, 283 new cases and one death were recorded, bringing the county’s totals to 16,437 cases and 443 deaths.

Meanwhile, the state has reported 10,049 new cases and 278 more deaths.

Chester County’s 16,437 cases represent 3.2 percent of Pennsylvania’s 519,369 total cases.
