T/E Dethroned as State’s Top School District; Chester County Home to Seven of Top 50

Chester County is home to seven of the Top 50 School Districts in Pennsylvania for 2021, but it no longer owns the top spot after Tredyffrin-Easttown was dethroned by neighboring Radnor Township in Delaware County, according to new rankings from Niche.com.

To determine the rankings for its list of the 2021 Best School Districts in Pennsylvania, Niche.com used data from the U.S. Department of Education to perform a rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews submitted by students and parents. Among the various factors that were evaluated were state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ATC scores, teacher quality, and more.

Tredyffrin-Easttown placed second, followed by Unionville-Chadds Ford at No. 7.

Great Valley and Downingtown both broke into the Top 20 at Nos. 17 and 20, respectively.

Meanwhile, West Chester checked in at No. 27, and Owen J. Roberts was 42nd.

Phoenixville also made the cut, placing 50th.
