The Immaculata women’s basketball program boasts a championship tradition and is world-renowned. Its history starts with the fabled, city championship team that beat the imposing and undefeated Temple Owlettes in 1946.
Decades later, the Mighty Macs won three consecutive national championships, from 1972-74, and were credited with revolutionizing the women’s game.
Today, the women’s basketball team, which represents the university as a member of the Atlantic East Conference, is recognized for its success on the court and in the classroom.
