Chester County Home to One of the Top Five Suburbs Where Renters Get the Most Bang for Their Buck
Phoenixville is one of the top five suburbs in the Philadelphia region where apartment renters can get the most bang for their buck, writes Sandy Smith for Philadelphia magazine.
According to data compiled by RENTCafé, the trend of people looking for larger apartments on the suburban fringe has continued despite – or even because of – the pandemic, with searches for sizable apartments increasing significantly.
To identify which five communities in the area have the most to offer for renters, RENTCafé looked at apartment sizes in the eight core counties of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Phoenixville ranked fifth on the list with an average apartment size of 893 square feet and average monthly rent of $1,505.
In addition to affordable rent, the borough has a lot to offer on other fronts, especially for beer lovers. Phoenixville has more craft breweries and brewpubs per square foot than any other place in the nation. It’s also near Valley Forge National Historical Park and several major trails.
