After visiting the New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Anna, a goat without two back legs and deformed front legs, has received new prosthetic limbs, writes Kim Strong for the York (Pa.) Daily Record.

Anna was born during a polar vortex and suffered frostbite, immediately causing her back legs to rot off. After years of mostly being ignored by her owners, she was taken in by Lenny and Michelle Yourth, who provide animals a second-chance home on their farm near Harrisburg.

The Yourths took Anna to the New Bolton Center to X-ray her front legs.

And while the Yourths were hoping her front legs could be straightened, the X-ray showed that her tendons had locked into place, tucking her hoofs under her legs after years of walking on her front knees.

They were informed she would need prosthetics for all four legs and would be able to get them with help from Bionic Pets, a company that makes pet prosthetics.

Today, Anna can finally walk pain-free and fully enjoy life for the first time.
