The Eighth Annual WCU Business Idea Competition, which received more than 300 submissions from 335 individuals, is now in its final phase: the business idea pitch.
There are four tracks in the competition:
- West Chester University Undergraduates
- West Chester University Graduate, Alumni, Faculty, and Staff
- Chester County High School Students
- Chester County Startups
The top six teams in each track participated in the fast pitch competition in April, and the scores from that round were combined with the first-round online submissions to determine the top two teams in each track.
These remaining teams will be competing via Zoom for $11,000 in prize money on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 4-6 PM.
Hosted by the Dr. Edwin Cottrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Center, Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic, and Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, the Annual WCU Business Idea Competition promotes creativity, idea generation, and entrepreneurship by recognizing innovative ideas for new products, services, and technology.
