Goodwill Keystone Area, which covers a 22-county territory in southeastern and central Pennsylvania, has opened its first specialty boutique aimed at millennial and Generation Z shoppers within its Phoenixville store, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The Specialty GKA boutique follows the “shop-in-shop” model found in department stores where certain brands have dedicated floor space allotted for them. All merchandise for the boutique is hand-selected from donations, which includes clothing, shoes, and accessories, along with other items for men and women.

According to Goodwill, there is a variety of available styles, such as boho-chic, grunge, and high fashion.

“We have many millennial and Gen Z shoppers who are looking for specific brands but do not want to pay a lot of money at a high-end store,” said Cathy McDonough, manager of the Goodwill store in Phoenixville. “With Specialty GKA, they can now find a wide assortment of merchandise and enjoy great savings while lessening their impact on the environment, which is very important to this generation of shoppers.”

Compared to traditional thrift shopping, the boutique offers a unique shopping experience. It has a different look and feel, more upscale merchandise, and less inventory to make it easier to find items.
