Davis Conaway, 12, a golf prodigy from East Bradford Township who was born with a hole in his heart, is busy practicing and working toward eventually being on the PGA Tour, writes Neil Geoghegan for the Daily Local News.

Conaway, a seventh-grader at Malvern Prep, is the region’s most accomplished golfer for his age. During the current season, he has won seven tournaments in 12 outings.

“It is such a challenge,” said Conaway. “It’s played within the six inches in your head. It’s one of the most challenging sports you can find.”

He is currently ranked No. 1 in the region’s 12-and-under category, nearly 200 points ahead of his nearest competitor. He catapulted to the top spot after a winning streak in early June when he came out on top five times in 10 days.

His accomplishments are even more impressive considering that he began his life with open-heart surgery. But that is certainly not slowing the young golfer down.

“He has no limitations,” said his father, Jeremi.
