The Challenge for Cancer Bike Tour, presented by Brandywine Valley Heating and Air Conditioning, is being held virtually from Sunday, June 21 to Sunday, June 28 for the benefit of patients receiving treatment at The Abramson Cancer Center at Chester County Hospital and Penn Medicine Hospice at Chester County.
Supporting the event will allow the hospital to continue to offer excellent care for families affected by cancer. The Abramson Cancer Center offers the latest treatments in cancer care through its powerful partnership with Penn Medicine.
Distances for the Bike Tour are 30, 50, 65, 75, or 100 miles. There is also a 5K run/walk route through the Borough of West Chester. Bike routes begin at the Fern Hill Medical Campus, located at 915 Old Fern Hill Road in West Chester. Spend time making new memories, while you make the community a better place for patients living with cancer.
This year, the Challenge for Cancer committee is asking participants to select one of its three virtual challenges – a Home Challenge, Road Challenge, or Live Challenge. The Home and Road Challenges can be completed any time this week by downloading a route of your choosing here. Participate in the Live Challenge – a high-energy cycling class with Jen Munro of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine – on Sunday, June, 28 at 11:30 AM via Facebook Live.
All participants are encouraged to participate in team or individual fundraising through GoFundMe.
The event is in need of additional sponsors. A sponsorship offers businesses the opportunity to showcase their community involvement, foster wellness for their employees and customers, provide team-building opportunities, and market their company in a unique way.
