King of Prussia-based Qlik is working with organizations across the globe to bring together data from various sources to understand the current situation and to work toward preventing a similar outbreak in the future, writes Eric Avidon for the SearchBusinessAnalytics.com.

Julie Kae, the Executive Director of Qlik’s philanthropic arm, said the goal was to help organizations that are actively fighting the spread of COVID-19 by giving them the best possible data to assist them with making critical decisions.

“The coronavirus is unprecedented in its scope, and we’re supporting groups on the front lines,” said Kae. “We’re making sure the data is accurate and all-encompassing.”

As a member of the Private Sector Roundtable – a collaboration of companies working with the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control and Prevention – Qlik is helping members to gain access to the relevant data needed to understand the challenges and needs around the outbreak. These include healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical supply companies that then leverage the information to take action.

“We can bring in the data to truly address and stop the pandemic and then build up with health systems to teach for the future,” said Kae.
