Two local entrepreneurs have launched their unique online recipe business earlier than planned to give restaurants that are taking a huge financial hit another source of revenue during the crisis, writes Fran Maye for the Daily Local News.

Mark Rybarczyk of Kennett Square and Chris Lamarra of Coatesville have created a portal that helps chefs and restaurants create video recipes and written cookbooks that they can sell to people who want to recreate them at home.

The website currently features dozens of local restaurants, primarily from West Chester and Kennett Square.

“We’ve been building for the past six months, and now with the COVID-19 situation, we feel that we are in a very good position to help out restaurants who are getting hit very hard with this situation,” said Rybarczyk.

He said that a lot of patrons have their favorite restaurant foods but can never properly recreate the taste without the original recipe. Now, this provides them with the opportunity to enjoy their favorite meal and help local restaurants.

The two said they plan to donate a portion of the recipe sales directly to employees of participating restaurants.
