Area residents have been finding different and often inventive ways of dealing with the “new normal,” writes Richard Gaw for the Chester County Press.

Eric Roe, a former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, has been taking advantage of Chester County’s many outdoor trails and greenways.

“It’s in times like this when my wife and I are most thankful that we are raising our family in bucolic Chester County,” said Roe.

Kennett Square resident Eve Fisher is also making sure to keep moving, but also leaves enough time in the day to relax.

“I make a cup of green tea, write in my journal, and read a few pages of an inspirational book,” she said.

Meanwhile, Rachel Brown, a wine educator at Chaddsford Winery, has moved her wine classes online, while Dr. David J. Hamburg, principal of the Jordan Bank Kindergarten Center in Oxford, has been focusing on some improvement projects.

And Kennett Square photographer Jie Deng is spending her days working with the Chinese-American community in Unionville and Chadds Ford to help healthcare workers by donating boxes of protective gear to local hospitals.
