WCStudio for the Performing Arts at Uptown! is holding its third annual Future Stars Gala on Saturday, March 14 1-4:30 PM.

The event will take place at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center and feature live performances by educational groups from WCStudio, including the Uptown Singers, West Chester Studio Singers, Broadway Kids Cabaret, and Broadway Kiddos.

Between performances, guests of the Gala are invited to enjoy a buffet lunch provided by local vendors, as well as wine and beer, coffee, and desserts. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction featuring an array of items from private voice and music lessons to date night packages and fun family outings.

While the adults mingle and bid upstairs, there will be plenty of opportunities for the kids to have fun downstairs. In the lower level green room, children will be invited to join the performers from 1-1:45 PM to play theater games, hang out, and see how performers prepare and get ready for a show.

The annual Future Stars Gala is the major fundraiser for WCStudio. All proceeds that are raised go directly to the benefit of the students who are enrolled in the many classes and camps or participating in the Studio’s shows. In previous years, funds from the Gala have been used for technical upgrades to the sound system, on-stage lighting, set construction and creation, and costuming needs. The money has also gone to bringing in high-caliber guest speakers and workshops to benefit students with a well-rounded theater education made up of many different perspectives, methods, and ideas.
