Wayne-based Stonehaven Homes is targeting “move down” buyers at its new Berwyn development with luxury amenities, no exterior maintenance, and prices that start around $700,000, writes Caroline O’Halloran for SAVVY Main Line.

The new Berwyn Village offers the privacy of a single-family home and the convenience of a condo, along with a walk-to-train location. And for a $390 HOA monthly fee, owners will get to enjoy their yard while not having to worry about the raking and mowing, among other things.

The development is situated on the 85-year-old Mack Oil site. It was named Berwyn Village because it is an extension of the town’s traditional village. Once completed, the sidewalks will connect residents with the town and train station.

“Downtown merchants will get high-end foot traffic,” said Stonehaven principal John McGrath.

In addition to the development aimed at empty-nesters, the developer is also working on the land next door. Seven $1 million home sites are being constructed on the seven-acre Armstrong property now known as Hamlet Circle, with four of the houses having already been sold.
