Figgatt earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College. He credits Keith Price, his first investor in Sycamore, as having the biggest impact on his professional career.
“Keith was my first investor when I was unable to secure financing from conventional bank after the financial crisis,” said Figgatt, who began working at Cropper’s Market in Downingtown when he was 14 years old. “He has remained a mentor in business and has become a great friend.”
Starting Sycamore in a basement and building it into the dynamic company that it is today is Figgatt’s proudest professional achievement.
“We have a great team of employees, and we have a positive impact on the environment and our community,” he said. “I’m excited to see it continue to grow into in the future.”
His favorite Chester County restaurant is Sovana Bistro in Kennett Square.
