2020 VISTA Millennial Superstars: Max O’Keefe
Max O’Keefe, who was born in Long Island but grew up in Chester County, is a Partner at Lamb McErlane, a law firm in West Chester that delivers the breadth of services one would expect from a downtown firm with the personal attention associated with a neighborhood law office.
As a member of Lamb McErlane’s municipal law practice group, O’Keefe handles a wide variety of municipal, land use, property tax, administrative, and environmental law matters.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Government from the College of William and Mary and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami (Fla.). As an Assistant District Attorney, he was assigned to the courtrooms of several Chester County Common Pleas Judges, whom he credits with being invaluable to his education and development as a young attorney.
“I continue to apply the lessons I learned from practicing in front of them,” said O’Keefe, who began working as a 16-year-old at The Bagel Factory in Berwyn.
His proudest professional accomplishment was achieved during his days as a prosecutor.
“I obtained a guilty verdict against a defendant who had assaulted multiple women,” said O’Keefe. “I was proud to argue on the victims’ behalf and ultimately ensure that justice was done.”
His favorite Chester County restaurant is La Cabra Brewing in Berwyn.
