Innovation is not new to the Cerner corporation. The 40-year old company holds 500 patents worldwide and has made more than $7 billion in cumulative R&D investments.

This summer, the company launched Anuva Health, Cerner’s first step into the provider space with a network of near-site and on-site wellness clinics. Since then the company has helped launch a handful of similar wellness centers and clinics around the country, including those serving its own workforce. These centers are designed to increase healthcare access and convenience for employees while keeping costs low for employers.

“We are excited about the prospect of sharing space with other companies and start-ups in the Malvern area,” said David Bradshaw, senior vice president, Population Health Services, Cerner. “Instead of designing our campus around one big custom offering, we opted instead to offer a network of access points in this community that can be shared by multiple employers.”

Tenants at the Malvern site will have access to the Anuva Health clinic, which offers lab testing, health coaching, a fully-integrated pharmacy, and behavioral health services, all on-site.

The Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) featured Cerner’s Anuva Health Clinic at its recent Stakeholder’s breakfast to promote this innovative health care delivery system.  “Cerner’s focus on innovation aligns with our mission to promote smart business growth for Chester County,” said Patrick Hayakawa, VP of Innovation and Emerging Technologies at CCEDC.  “We are excited that this global IT health care provider is looking to create a tech hub in the area.”

Cerner is located in a Keystone Innovation Zone which is coordinated by CCEDC’s Ideas x Innovation Network (i2n).  Qualified tenants from targeted industries like tech and life sciences can access a network of resources including legal and financial advice; market and demographic research; networking opportunities; and more.
