Last week, Hankin Group – the Exton-based developer of distinctive commercial, residential, and retail properties – received the 2019 West Whiteland Township Historic Preservation Award.

The honor recognized Hankin’s restoration of Ivy Cottage, which is located on West Lincoln Highway, adjacent to the company’s Keva Flats apartment community. Hankin Group restored the cottage, originally built in 1799, and converted the space into two apartments.

The residential building is now referred to as The Chandler House, an homage to the name of the family that most recently resided there.

Hankin Group credits Robert Powers & Associates for helping to maintain the historical integrity of the home, Al Walton and his team for insuring the flawless execution of the construction, Laura Maiale for her work on the stunning residential design, and the entire team at Hankin Group for their support and excitement about this unique project.
