Environmental Health Supervisor (Water & Sewage)

This position maintains technical standardization among the group; provides leadership, training, and direction to staff; interprets and enforces regulations by prosecution through the courts; and prepares, distributes, and maintains records of inspections and investigations.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and five years of job-related experience; Sewage Enforcement Officer certification; working knowledge of public health vectors, code enforcement, and environmental health principles; and proven supervisory and management skills.

Environmental Health Supervisor (Food & Institutions)

This position develops and monitors the department’s budget, maintains technical standardization among the group; composes proposed rules and regulations and develops policies and procedures; and prepares performance evaluations and handling of disciplinary issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and five years of job-related experience; the ability to interface effectively with all levels of county management; working knowledge of public health vectors and environmental health principles; and customer service experience.

SSS – PT – Coroner

This position performs administrative duties, including data entry; prepares correspondence, receipts, bills, statements, and checks; performs receptionist duties, including answering calls, conveying messages, and running errands; and sorts and files records.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and six months to one year of job-related experience; strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge and skill with modern office equipment; and basic computer skills, including various software packages.
