Dr. Mustafa A. Ahmed is the director of the Foundation for Islamic Education.

After finalizing the sale of its Villanova property, the Foundation for Islamic Education has decided to make Exton its new home, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Foundation for Islamic Education is dedicated to serving the social, spiritual, moral, and religious needs of Muslims in the area. It purchased the 25,000-square-foot building at 201 Sharp Lane for $1.59 million from Adult Care of Chester County. This was part of Senior Care Centers of America and was discontinuing operations in the building, which was also its last asset.

In July, the foundation sold its previous 23-acre property in Villanova for $12 million to the Lower Merion School District. After the sale was finalized, it went through a wide search for a new home before finally settling on the Exton property.

According to property records, the foundation had been considering moving from its Villanova property, which it purchased for $2.7 million in 1994 from Eastern Montgomery Christian Academy. The foundation had been discussing its next location for a while and originally put the campus up for sale 12 years ago.
