Grainne Owen, founder of Curing Kids Cancer, recently presented a $100,000 check to Dr. Stephan A. Grupp, Director of the Cancer Immunotherapy Program at Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP).

Owen and her husband, Clay, founded Curing Kids Cancer in 2005 after losing their nine-year-old son to Acute Lymphocytic Cancer. Since its inception, the organization has raised more than $15 million and currently provides $2 million in grants annually to various pediatric cancer research organizations across the United States.

CHOP is a global leader in pediatric healthcare and one of America’s Top 10 pediatric cancer care centers.

Anthony C. Weagley, the CEO and President of Malvern Bank, National Association, attended the check presentation. Malvern Bank sponsors Curing Kids Cancer’s annual fundraising events and has provided grants to the organization through its charitable foundation.
