GWCC Partners with WCU to Provide Business Owners Structured Way to Collaborate with Students

By

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is piloting a new program with West Chester University’s College of Business and Public Management.

This initiative is designed to provide business owners a structured way to collaborate with WCU students without needing to establish their own formal internship program. Students will receive classroom instruction on specific marketing topics and are then asked to apply that knowledge in the form of marketing research and a formal recommendation to their assigned business owner.

At the beginning of the year, the GWCC established five key initiatives, one of which was to develop experiential learning opportunities for local students. The chamber – dedicated to supporting its businesses by providing opportunities, resources, and advocacy – believes that this partnership with WCU achieves that goal.
