The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is an association of nine YMCAs that offer life-changing programs for children, families, and adults throughout Chester County. Summer Camp Counselors and Lead Counselors – Upper Main Line YMCA

Camp UMLY is looking for fun and enthusiastic staff to work with children ages 4-15 this summer. The Upper Main Line YMCA’s 54-acre campus includes athletic fields, tennis courts, art studios, dance studio, theaters, pond, pools, trails, and a gymnasium. This is an excellent summer job for teachers and college students who enjoy working with children in the outdoors. Come to the Y and make a difference in the life of a child.

​​As a role model, you can make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of children, and develop leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills. As a Camp UMLY Counselor you will receive a FREE Y Membership, you will enjoy working outdoors and you will make lifelong friendships.

Candidates must be high school graduates or those graduating this June. Previous experience with children, and an area of interest is preferred. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers at all times and planning and leading camper activities.

Camp UMLY Counselors maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff, and exemplify the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The season runs from June 20 until August 26. If hired, camp training will be held June 6 to June 11. This training is required.
