United Way Chester CountyUnited Way of Chester County has just been granted the ability to impact the community in an even bigger way, as it is now eligible to receive funding through the Pennsylvania Tax Credit program as a registered Pre-K EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) organization.

Funding that United Way receives through this program will be used to provide scholarships for young children in low-income families to Keystone STARS-certified, high-quality, pre-K programs within Chester County.

United Way of Chester County has always worked to make sure children receive a quality early education, regardless of family income. It knows that a solid educational foundation before kindergarten opens doors to success in school and in the workforce.

This new designation, as an organization eligible to receive Pre-K EITC funds, increases the ways in which local companies can support the work of United Way of Chester County and grow access to quality youth education for the residents of Chester County.

If you would like to learn more about the Pre-K EITC program, are a business already participating that would like to support United Way of Chester County, or are interested in learning how your company can participate, please contact Scott Fremont, Vice President of Resource Development at United Way of Chester County, at sfremont@uwchestercounty.org.
