Cerner, which already operates dozens of employer health centers around the country, has launched Anuva Health, the first in a new network of near-site employer health clinics, in Malvern.

On Thursday, June 6 from 12-2 PM at its campus at 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Cerner will host a complimentary lunch and networking event with engaging conversation about its new concept in workforce health.

Guests will have the exclusive opportunity to tour the Anuva Health center and pharmacy.

Anuva Health represents the expansion of worksite health services. It’s aimed at a wider range of employers who are interested in the model, but wary of the cost associated with an individualized clinic, according to a report from MedCity News.

“Cerner is offering a network of access points in a community that can be shared by multiple employers, offering a high-quality offering to employers of any size,” said Mike Heckman, Cerner’s Vice President of Population Health Services.

A survey conducted last year by Mercer and the National Association of Worksite Health Centers suggests that interest from employers in the worksite clinic space is increasing. The survey found that a third of U.S. employers with 5,000 or more employees offer general medical worksite clinics, up from 24 percent in 2012. This model enables companies to control healthcare spending and boost workforce productivity.

Anuva Health takes the model one step further by offering employees additional services, like lab work and behavioral health, that are accessible from multiple locations.

It’s all part of the plan for Cerner, which boasts 30 years of workplace health experience and more than 40 years in health care technology, as it seeks to reinvent the health care experience for employers and their workforce.

“Our roots in technology are a big differentiator because we understand the complexity associated with healthcare, we understand data and how to build internal roadmaps to meet real-time market needs,” Heckman said.
