For so many of us in the Delaware Valley, it doesn’t get any better than a hoagie for lunch, and some of the best in the region can be found right here in Chester County, writes Danielle Fusaro for Main Line Today.

Chester County is home to four of the 15 best places to get great hoagies around Philadelphia’s suburbs.

Bella Cucina in West Chester offers a delicious Old Timer hoagie layered with sopressata, mortadella, and mozzarella. There are also several hot options, such as chicken cutlet sandwiches.

Bridgeside Deli & Grille in Phoenixville serves tasty hoagies like homemade roast pork with broccoli rabe and provolone. Those wanting something different from the daily offerings can create their own hoagie.

Carlino’s Specialty Foods in West Chester makes mouth-watering hoagies using its artisanal cheeses and homemade fresh bread. Among the best is the Tuscan Mama’s Meatball that has a symphony of flavors with warm meatballs simmered in marinara sauce covered with sautéed spinach and fresh mozzarella.

Finally, Marshall’s Market in Berwyn has one of the best chicken saltimbocca hoagies in the region. This tasty lunch is filled with a fried chicken cutlet, provolone, garlic spinach, and prosciutto.
