A pair of Chester County natives, Owen J. Roberts graduate Maddie Sager and Coatesville graduate Sammie Staudt, will lead the Seton Hall University women’s golf team at the 2019 Big East Championship this weekend at the Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C.

Sager, a junior, has competed in 20 rounds of golf in eight different tournaments during the 2018-19 school year. She fired a season-low 69 in the second round of the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational in October. With an average score of 76.50, Sager is ranked 14th heading into the Big East Championship.

Staudt, also a junior, has played 23 rounds of golf in nine different tournaments in 2018-19. Her average score, 77.83, places her 19th in the Big East.

Staudt appeared in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd in October 2014 after shooting two holes in one during a nine-hole match against Avon Grove at Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale.
