According to a study by Johns Hopkins University, volunteering reduces levels of stress, anxiety, and depression and increases brain function, thus causing the “happiness effect” experienced through the release of dopamine in the brain.

April is Community Service Month, a time when you can share your talents with your neighbors.

Local charities need your help. Come out and assist during Volunteer Week (April 8-13) with United Way of Chester County’s Days of Caring.

Let’s join hands to keep Chester County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
