National Dance Company of Ireland Coming to WCU for Show That Blends the Ancient, Contemporary

WCU Live! at West Chester University will host the National Dance Company of Ireland’s “Rhythm of the Dance” on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 PM in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall at the Philips Memorial Building, located at 700 South High Street.

This breathtaking dance and music extravaganza features a cast of step dancers, singers, and live musicians in a richly costumed show that marries the ancient and the contemporary.

Since its debut performance in Norway in 1999, “Rhythm of the Dance” has played to more than seven million fans in 50 countries worldwide. With all new costumes, choreography, music, and multi-media, it’s a St. Patrick’s Day celebration you won’t want to miss!

“We are so pleased to bring artists of international caliber to West Chester’s campus through the WCU Live! Performing Arts series,” said John Rhein, the university’s Director of Cultural and Community Affairs. “We invite members of the surrounding community – ages 1 to 101 – to come and enjoy this thoroughly compelling and celebratory production.”
