Tucked away in the heart of West Chester, you’ll feel like you’re traveling back in time when you pull up to Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast.
Step inside, and it will feel like home. That’s what Faunbrook is all about – an experience where little luxuries abound.
Though West Chester has grown to be one of the most bustling suburbs in the region, Faunbrook offers an intimate escape that is near all of the excitement.
Just minutes from the restaurants and shops that Downtown West Chester has become known for, and a short drive from some of the Brandywine Valley’s most popular destinations, it’s also a respite with its natural grounds and a charm that is quintessentially Chester County.
My heart skips a beat for a venue with a story, and especially one that still has its historic integrity intact.
Once built, a weathervane topped the building with a figure of a faun – half goat, half man – and Faunbrook coined its name.
Originally owned by the Darlington family, it remained under their ownership for over one hundred years.
The Darlington family’s contributions to the area were plentiful; in fact, Isabel Darlington, who served as the first female President of the Chester County Bar Association, helped DuPont secure the grounds that are Longwood Gardens today – just a short drive from Faunbrook.
What’s more, as an event planner, it’s rare to stumble upon a space that can host events of all kinds, and do it well. From intimate weddings to corporate and social events, the options at Faunbrook seem limitless.
Whether you’re using the patio or wraparound porch (yes, even in the colder months – heated options!), the team at Faunbrook welcomes variety.
I’m partial to the fact that Faunbrook can not only host a celebration, but it can also host the guests who travel far and wide to celebrate with you.
From your rehearsal to a post-event breakfast, Faunbrook is able to accommodate each facet of the wedding weekend, all while providing superior hospitality to your favorite people.
Make sure to RSVP for their upcoming Open House, taking place on January 13, 2019 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.
As an event planner, I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t give you a reminder that Valentine’s Day is approaching. The upcoming holiday is the perfect time to experience the magic of Faunbrook for yourself.
VISTA Today has partnered with Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast to bring our readers a sweet (pun intended) upgrade – if you book a two-night stay for any two nights between February 8-17, 2019, you’ll enjoy in-room wine (from a local winery, of course), a box of Eclat truffles and a farm-to-table breakfast for two each day of your stay.
Standard rooms are $325.00 and Suites are $375.00 for a two-night stay.
You must mention that you’re booking the VISTA Today package when you make your reservation in order to claim your exclusive upgrades.
Whether you want to curl up with a good book in front of a roaring fire after a long bath in a claw foot tub – holy hygge – or getting a change of scenery while being a tourist in your own town, Faunbrook has something for everyone. A locally-sourced breakfast is a hearty bonus.
