Since its launch in the fourth quarter of 2014, VISTA Today has become the leader upbeat business and economic development news and events in Chester County.

The journal, which posts curated and original stories that celebrate Chester County’s quality of place and economic health, enjoyed its most successful year in 2018, as it generated more than 7.3 million page views from 2,699 different posts.

Developed in creative partnership with the Chester County Economic Development Council, VISTA Today is owned and operated by Exton-based American Community Journals.

While not a traditional “newspaper” or “journalism” project, VISTA Today shares stories about Chester County’s commercial, community, and cultural scene,  stories that define what it means to live, work, play, visit, and learn in Chester County.

“I knew there were a lot of great stories unfolding right here in Chester County,” said Ken Knickerbocker, publisher of VISTA Today. “I knew there were countless stories in the local, regional, national, and sometimes international media that weren’t being seen, read, shared, or discussed. What I didn’t know is if anyone really cared.

“Judging by our numbers, which have increased exponentially since our inception, Chester County residents appreciate our stories and our commitment to bringing them the type of content that reminds everyone what a great place Chester County is.”

The year started off on a great note for VISTA Today, as it received the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry’s 2018 Small Business of the Year Award in January.

“VISTA Today is a small business success and, even more importantly, a business development partner for all businesses in our region,” said Guy Ciarrocchi, the CCCBI’s President and CEO. “VISTA’s online presence has become an important part of our business community’s information sharing – and good news storytelling.”

Nearly 20,600 people currently subscribe to VISTA Today’s daily newsletter. The publication’s early success prompted the creation of sister platforms in Delaware County (DELCO Today) and Montgomery County (MONTCO Today), as well as in Coatesville (COATESVILLE Today).

VISTA Today is looking forward to the new year and continuing to add value for its affiliate partners, as well as helping businesses and nonprofits across Chester County grow and prosper.
