Tori’s Time: Organizing is a Journey, Start Today!

So how are you making out?

So how are you making out with your resolution to declutter, (re)organize, or reuse?

I am going to pat myself on the back because as I pulled out those Holiday decorations, I actually chose what decorations I still cherished and used and which ones I don’t.

I looked in old boxes marked Holiday so I knew what I had and then I packed up the ones I haven’t used in years or just don’t like anymore and took them to a donation center.

The ones I wanted to keep, I repacked and reorganized so each box was labeled. One job down.

Next, each weekend I pick a drawer, cabinet or closet and just schedule an hour to go through it. Pick an area; garage, attic, basement, filing cabinet, bookshelf.

It’s cold out there, so tackle some of these inside spaces because once the warm weather hits, these places won’t be your first choice on a warm spring day.

Lastly, your office whether at home or elsewhere could certainly use a makeover.

Actually going through those old files taking up precious space to reorganizing your desk so it just feels different. This can create such a transformative feeling when you walk in.

Yes, I know, there is never enough time but make an appointment with yourself.  It helps to change our perspective when everything has a place or you have gone through that pile of papers that have needed to be filed, shredded or thrown out.

Need some organizing tools or apps? Just let me know, I have plenty.
