VIDEO: Investors Breathe Life into Historic Farmers and Mechanics Building

By

Built in 1908, the historic Farmers and Mechanics Building in West Chester is getting a new lease on life, thanks to align.Space, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

The building has never looked better and is rented by a company co-founded by Chad Williams and John Ratliff.

The two men were hooked on the building the moment they saw it.

“West Chester seemed like a great location with a lot of activity,” said Williams. “Even in the winter, there is a lot of electricity on the streets.”

The pair’s company offers space for small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as people who work remotely, and the company also acts as a business incubator.

In addition to office space, the company has a large area for events, four conference rooms, and a full kitchen.

Williams said that align.Space is ideal for growing companies, as it offers rent by the month.

“We work with companies to take them from where they are today to where they want to be in future,” he said.
