First Watch, a fast-casual restaurant chain, is planning to open a location in the Gateway Shopping Center in Wayne, at the former site of an Outback Steakhouse, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Pennsylvania Farming presents the first history of Pennsylvania agriculture in than more sixty years and offers a completely new perspective. Available on Amazon in Hardcover or Kindle.

The chain is renowned for its breakfast and lunch offerings that are made from fresh ingredients. These include popular items like avocado toast and egg white burritos.

Work has already started on the interior of the new restaurant. This will take up roughly half of the 6,783 square feet previously occupied by Outback. The previous tenant left the Gateway Shopping Center several years ago to relocate to King of Prussia Mall.

According to Eleni Pierce, a First Watch spokeswoman, the Wayne location is scheduled to open on March 11. It will employ a team of 25 people.

The new restaurant will be First Watch’s fifth location in the Philadelphia area and the second in Chester County. The chain has locations in Abington, Exton, Villanova, and Newtown Square.
