Pennsylvania ranks among the Top 10 states with the most powerful voters in House elections, according to recently published analysis by WalletHub.

However, Pennsylvania also placed in the bottom half of the lists for overall voting power, Senate races, and gubernatorial races.

For 2018’s States with the Most & Least Powerful Voters for the Midterms, WalletHub compared the relative power of 2018 voters in swinging the Senate, House, and gubernatorial races. It was done by calculating the number of elected officials in the federal government per adult in each state for the most recent election years. Year-over-year comparisons of the same calculations were also performed. Then those results were combined to determine the overall voting power for residents of each state.

Pennsylvania ranked highest on States with the Most Powerful Voters in House Elections, placing ninth.

Pennsylvania ranks 37th among States with the Most Powerful Voters in Senate Elections and 47th among States with the Most Powerful Voters in Gubernatorial Elections.

The aforementioned results put Pennsylvania at No. 37 overall for Voting Power by State.
