Nick Filet, a new fast-food restaurant that is home to the “Original Filet Mignon Sandwich,” has opened in Paoli, writes Alex Tewfik for Philadelphia magazine.

Owner Nick Kline previously worked at Quincy’s Original, the lobster-roll shack at the Jersey Shore. During his four summers there, Kline saw the value in a restaurant that focuses on doing one simple thing superbly.

Now, he’s looking to transfer what he learned into his own establishment at 111 East Lancaster Avenue in Paoli.

“It’s really simple: It’s Five Guys but with filet mignon,” said Kline.

The filets he offers are simple cuts butterflied over toasted buns.

The Nick Filet is available in three sizes: the three-ounce Little Nick, six-ounce Nick Filet, and nine-ounce Big Nick.

The new eatery is open from 11 AM-9 PM.
