Those craving some exceptional pasta don’t have to travel far to indulge their appetite, as two Italian restaurants in Delaware County offer some of the best pasta in the Philadelphia area, writes Sinead Cummings for PhillyVoice.

In honor of National Pasta Day on Oct. 17, PhillyVoice compiled a list of the region’s best Italian restaurants that serve outstanding pasta dishes.

Spasso Italian Grill in Media made the list thanks to its traditional dishes served at a very reasonable price. Among the many highlights are the gnocchi gorgonzola and the gnocchi con asparagi, both of which can also be enjoyed by vegetarians.

Also on the list is Il Granaio in Glen Mills. This BYOB establishment stands out for using only local and farm-fresh ingredients. Among its trademark dishes is the house special, Fettuccine Aragosta, which features a lobster in a truffle brandy cream sauce.
