In time for American Humane’s annual Adopt-a-Dog Month in October, Henderson High School student Caroline Capuzzi recently published the compilation, Dog Joy: Amazing Stories of the Indescribable Love Only a Rescued Dog Can Give.
The collection of 26 dog rescue stories details special adoptions, as well as organizations that perform vital animal rescue work every day. The book is available for purchase by clicking here.
Each poignant tale in the volume is accompanied by a photograph of the story’s rescued dog, and each chapter was contributed by a unique individual or family. Also, Capuzzi asked the contributors to highlight a nonprofit dog rescue, shelter, or organization that supports dog rescue and adoption.
One hundred percent of all profits garnered from book sales will be donated to the selected rescue operations featured in the book.
Intended to be shared with friends and family, as well as donated to local animal rescues or given to local vets, Dog Joy spreads the love and deep comfort that rescue dogs freely offer to their owners. The ultimate goal of the book is to encourage people to consider visiting an animal shelter the next time they are looking for a new friend.
Dog Joy is published by Dog Joy Books, a publisher that utilizes such story book sales as an effective fundraising tool to help rescue organizations and shelters raise money and awareness with no upfront costs to their organizations. Dog Joy Books removes the tedious and often difficult work of publishing a book, allowing rescue operations to focus more on their life-saving efforts and less on the hardships involved with fundraising.
