‘Dinosaur’ Congressman Costello to Bloomberg: ‘It’s Shaping Up to Be a Fascinating Political Season’

By

“Are you becoming a dinosaur, Congressman? Are you becoming extinct? Or can Democrats and Republicans find the middle ground that you aspire (to) and mention?”

Bloomberg Television host Tom Keene began his recent interview of U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello with those questions as a way to highlight the apparent dearth of politicians on Capitol Hill who seek to work across the aisle to address the issues that plague the nation.

“I think our politics should be anchored from the middle, in terms of solving problems,” said Costello, an Owen J. Roberts High School graduate who represents Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Costello shared what he believes Republicans have to focus on this election season.

“Republicans have to focus on the economy humming, addressing the opioid epidemic, and keeping America secure,” he said.

“It’s shaping up to be a fascinating political season.”
