Coffee lovers don’t have to go far for a good cup of joe, as Philadelphia ranks among the Top 15 Best Coffee Cities in America, according to recently published analysis by WalletHub.

Across the country, coffee was not originally as popular as tea. After the Boston Tea Party, though, many people made the switch, which was, at the time, considered patriotic. Today, according to a recent poll, 64 percent of Americans age 18 or older drink coffee on daily basis.

To determine the ranking for its 2018’s Best Coffee Cities in America, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 14 key indicators of friendliness to coffee lovers. Among the metrics chosen were average price of coffee, average spending on coffee per household, affordable coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés rated 4.5 stars or higher.

Philadelphia checked in at No. 14. The City of Brotherly Love had one of its best showings in the category of Most Donut Shops per Capita, where it ranked third, just behind New York and Chicago.
