The Kolbe Fund will host Rhythm & Brews, an annual celebration of the Exton-based nonprofit’s founding, on Oct. 13 from 6-10 PM at Levering Mill Tribute House in Bala Cynwyd.

The evening will feature live music, fresh food, a selection of local craft beers, and silent and live auctions.

The Kolbe Fund provides support for families who must travel in order to obtain the best medical care for a child. It gives hope to financially strapped and emotionally stressed families during uncertain times.

Founded in October 2013 with the support of donors and partner organizations, The Kolbe Fund’s programs have provided support for more than 1,800 families. Its three signature programs are:

  • Hopeful Nights: The Kolbe Fund works with hotels near medical facilities to provide private and comfortable accommodations during a stressful time. The Kolbe Fund has provided almost 3,000 nights of hope and comfort since its founding.
  • Hopeful Days: Over time, expenses add up for families tending to a long-term illness. Hopeful Days provides relief for food, transportation, gas, and parking.
  • Kolbe Kits: Kolbe families receive care packages containing useful donated items. Kolbe Kits are assembled by local businesses and individuals and give The Kolbe Fund an opportunity to personally connect with its recipients during a difficult time.
