As part of their partnership with Special Olympics Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Eagles hosted a flag-football game with Special Olympics athletes from Chester and Montgomery counties, writes DeArbea Walke for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The aim of the partnership is to provide Philadelphia residents with more inclusive programming.

“Our biggest goal going forward is to link our brands,” said Matt Aaron, CEO of Special Olympics Pennsylvania CEO. “It’s something Special Olympics is doing globally right now around our 50th anniversary.”

The game, organized in partnership with Unified Flag Football, welcomed two teams, each comprised of 12 local players.

Eagles wide receivers Mack Hollins and Rashard Davis each took on the role of both player and coach for their respective teams. The other Special Olympics athletes in attendance took part in blocking drills with receivers Greg Ward and Shelton Gibson.
