MacElree Harvey

Firm partner Louis Teti has been selected as Honorary Chair of the Third Annual Paoli Hospital Auxiliary’s Fine Art Show. Opening the weekend of Oct. 6, the two-day show will feature the work of Jan Wier, as well as the original art expression of 50 local and regional artists.

Attendees throughout the weekend will have the opportunity to purchase the art displayed. A percentage of art sales will help fulfill the auxiliary’s annual pledge to Paoli Hospital.

“I am excited and honored to accept the role of Honorary Chair to support the auxiliary and their mission,” said Teti, Chair of MacElree Harvey’s Estates & Trusts Practice.

Delaware County Community College

The college is offering a Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification Program, with classes beginning Sept. 10 at the Marple Campus. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 PM. Certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the program prepares entry-level operators for certification and employment.

Wastewater Treatment Operators are essential in the treatment and transferring of water and wastewater. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual pay for Wastewater Treatment Operators is $45,760.

The college’s program offers all of the coursework, hands-on training in laboratories, and module tests necessary to help students pass the licensing exam for DEP certification. The program is divided into two 90-hour sessions. Successful candidates must enroll for certification levels 1 and 2.

Immaculata University

The College of Undergraduate Studies will host an open house on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM.

The open house is designed for high school juniors and seniors and students interested in transferring. The event will allow prospective students to tour the campus and talk with professors, coaches, current students, and administrators from all areas of campus. Information will be presented about admissions, academic majors, social and student life, athletic and co-curricular activities, financial aid, and scholarships.

YMCA Montessori Schools

Space is filling up at the YMCA Montessori schools as the first day of class nears on Sept. 4 at the Kennett Area YMCA and Sept. 14 at the West Chester Area YMCA.
