Scott Vassil, owner of Wally’s Wiener World in West Chester, found true happiness when he bought the hot-dog cart he’s been running for more than three decades, writes Bill Rohrer for Fox 29.

“Everybody, buy a wiener store,” said Vassil. “You will love yourself and be happy forever.”

Vassil, known as Wally to his customers, has loved hot dogs since he was a kid. He ate up to seven hot dogs a day for nearly two decades, prompting his doctor to order him to change his diet due to high cholesterol.

“So I had to go to Wieners Anonymous,” he joked.

Things rarely change on the corner of Market and High streets, where Wally has called his second home since 1985.

Vassil is also known for being on Wheel of Fortune, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show, but not even that fame compares to his love of selling hot dogs.

“That is why I am still here, and I will be here until I am about 100,” he said.
